Blog #4

If i was to go to fleetwood and stand in a group of people while looking at this burning building you wouldn't see me in the crowd. I would be trying to help save somethings or someone that could have been in the building. I would have tried to stop the fire or have gone to the fire company to have them put it out. It is very devastating to watch a building burn. If i had to stand in the crowd i would be very sad for the people that are getting hurt from this fire. the thoughts running through my head would be "why do people do this?" or "why do they think that its a good thing to do?" i don't understand people these days and this class has made me realize that racism is no joke.

Journal #3

If a crisis like that would happen in my neighbor hood I would probably put the menorah in my window. There is always room for change and one day I would like to start it. One of my most favorite songs in Man in the Mirror by Michael Jackson. It says in one part, "if you want to make the world a better place, take look at yourself, and make a change." That song inspires me that anything can be done but just one person to start it. So if that were to happen in my community i would have put the menorah in my window and been proud of it because not everyone is equal and not everyone is prefect. God made you the way you are and that's how you should live your life. If you don't like something then change it and if you cant change it then change the way you think about that something. In my house all we talk about is becoming the bigger person and not being picked on, that's when I realized that jokes and racial comments are cruel.

Journal #2

One year in the middle school I was a bystander of a fight between two of my friends. To the day I regret not doing anything. It got to a bad point but I didn't know what to do because it was between two friends. I would have lost one in the end but then I didn't know that friends were the world. Everything that my mom told me, the best one is that doesn't matter how many friends you have, it matters on your schooling and basketball because those friends won't be there when your already. Now if I see a fight or a kid being bullied then I am going to stop them and tell them it's wrong.
